🔒 Data Protection

No data waffle.
Just the facts.

We built this tool to cut through corporate nonsense — so the last thing we'd do is wrap our privacy policy in it. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

Last updated: March 2026

✦ The short version

We only collect your email address. We do not store the text you paste or upload — it's processed and gone. We don't sell your data. We don't share it for advertising. We operate under EU GDPR. That's genuinely it.

01

Who we are

Cut The Bullshit is a website operated by a team based in the EU. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data. If you have any questions about how we handle your information, you can reach us at hello@cutthebullshit.ai.

02

What we collect — and what we don't

We collect one thing: your email address, used solely to give you access to the tool via passwordless login.

We do not store the content you paste or upload. Any text, documents, or files you submit are sent to our AI provider for processing and immediately discarded. We never read it, analyse it, or retain it. What happens in CTB, stays in CTB.

Collected: Email address
Processed but not stored: Text and files you submit for analysis
Never collected: Name, location, payment data, behavioural tracking, advertising identifiers

03

Why we collect your email

Your email address is used to authenticate your account. When you sign in, we send a one-time login code to your email — no password required. Once verified, the site remembers you so you won't need to log in again on the same device.

We will always give you a clear way to opt out of any communications, and we will never contact you more than necessary. If you signed up and ticked the box to hear from us, you can unsubscribe at any time.

04

Our AI provider — OpenAI

The text analysis is powered by OpenAI. When you submit content for analysis, it is sent to OpenAI's API for processing. OpenAI acts as a data processor on our behalf, meaning they process data only according to our instructions.

OpenAI does not use API-submitted content to train its models by default. You can read their data processing terms at openai.com/policies. We encourage you not to submit content containing sensitive personal data, confidential business information, or anything you wouldn't want processed by a third-party AI system.

05

Your rights under EU GDPR

We operate under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request its correction or deletion, object to or restrict how we process it, and lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority in your country, or with the AEPD (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos) at aepd.es.

Given we only hold your email address, most of these requests are straightforward. Just drop us a line at hello@cutthebullshit.ai and we'll sort it promptly — without making you fill in a 12-page form.

06

How long we keep your data

We retain your email address for as long as your account is active. If you'd like us to delete it, just ask and we'll remove it within 30 days. We don't hold on to data we don't need — that would be its own kind of corporate BS.

07

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how we handle your data in a meaningful way, we'll let you know — either by email or by a notice on the platform. We won't bury it in a terms update you'll never read. That's not how we operate.

Questions? Just ask.

We mean it when we say we keep things simple. If anything here is unclear, or you'd like to exercise any of your rights, get in touch at hello@cutthebullshit.ai and a real person will respond — in plain English.
